SCOTT, Hector Addison

Peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 2, 2010 of Hector Addison Scott, Cornwall, Veteran of the Second World War, age 90 years. Beloved husband of Ethel (nee Moore) Scott. Loving father of Derrick (Debbie) and Glenn (Cheryl). Grandfather of Jill (Andy), Patti (Robert), Ryan (Melissa), Anthony, Matthew, Lauren and Bonnie. Great-grandfather of Taylor, Julia, Akane, Sakura, Miah and Meredith. Survived by his brother Herbert Scott, sister Mary Inman and sister-in-law Doris. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Melvin, Ida, John, Harold and Lillian. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday from Cornwall United Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Cornwall United Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Kingston Branch #30 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.

STEWART, Cecil Bradford

On Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton in his 73rd year.
Loving husband of Gayle, father of Brad (Joey) and Brian (Jess), and grandfather of Maddie, Robbie and Morgan. He is survived by his brothers Don (Elizabeth) and Murray (Mary) residing in Prince Edward Island. Cec worked at Xerox Canada for 25 years.
The family extends gratitude to the medical care givers at both Juravinski Cancer Centre and the Juravinski Hospital.
Arrangements entrusted to George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, October 4, at Bethany Community Church, 1388 Third Street, St. Catharines, with service to follow at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation or The Gideon Bible Society would be appreciated.

At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday Sept. 27, 2010 of Gertrude H. "TRUDY" Burgstaller of Barrett Street, Kensington and formerly of Clinton, aged 76 years. Born in Salzburg, Austria on May 14, 1934 daughter of the late Ludwig and Hermine (Grosser) Almasi. Wife of the late Wilhelm Kurt Burgstaller. Mother of Norman (Nancy), Burgstaller, Ottawa; Ingrid (Nick) Richardson, Vancouver; Margaret (Scott) Parsons, Dartmouth and Peter (Linda), Burgstaller, Ottawa. Grandmother to Sarah and Erica Parsons, Dartmouth, Matthew and Hannah Burgstaller, Ottawa. Sister-in-law of Gerda Ruda, Germany; Alfred Burgstaller, Montreal; Kurt Burgstaller and Helga Schafer both of Gatineau. The death occurred in Hanover, Ont., on Sept. 26, 2010, of Janet Gillis Lyons, formerly of South Pinette, P.E.I.
Survived by four daughters and seven grandchildren; also nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her aunt, Mary (Archie) Martin of Summerside and sister-in-law, Edna (Nicki) MacLeod, Stratford, P.E.I.
Predeceased by her parents, Herbie and Annie Gillis and brothers, Dr. John M. Gillis and Bert Gillis.
Funeral service in Hanover with interment later in the Belfast Cemetery, P.E.I.

At the Victoria General Hospital on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, of John Malcolm MacDonald, Long Creek, age 50 years.
Beloved husband of Gail (nee Smith). Dear father of Ryan (Crystal) and Stacy (Kyle Lewis). Loving "Poppy" to MacKenzie, Noah and Ava MacDonald and Kaleb Lewis. Brother of Mae MacDonald and Tanya MacDonald. Grandson of Christina MacRae.
Predeceased by his parents, Dockie and Lorraine MacDonald.

The death occurred at the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, NS, on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, of Velma Mugridge, of Summerside, aged 70 years. Born in Hebron, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Matilda "Tillie" (McIsaac) Mugridge. Survived by brothers Alfred Mugridge; Edward (Rena) Mugridge; Sterling (Linda) Mugridge; sister Liane (Kenny) Dixon; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, an abundance of dear friends and Velma's special pet "Sam". Predeceased by a brother Warren Mugridge; sisters-in-law Kathleen (Dekker) Mugridge, Lucy (Blanchard) Mugridge; and by her nephew Andrew Dixon. PERRY, Clara "Annie"

The death occurred peacefully at her late residence in Salt Springs, N.B. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 of Clara "Annie" Cecila Perry (nee MacKinnon), formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. Annie was born on Nov. 10, 1936 in South West, P.E.I. to her late parents, Percy and Kathleen (nee Baglole) MacKinnon. Beloved wife of Clifford Perry and loving mother of Don (Sharon), Diane (Rick) Schurmans, Vivian Luff , Blaine (Mona), Shelly (Carlos) Souse all of Ontario and Sherry ( Rocky ) Gallant of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Irene (Jack) MacNeil of Saint John, N.B. and her brother Eric MacKinnon of Summerside. Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by her brother Lloyd MacKinnon. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday , Oct. 4, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.
