Peacefully at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, surrounded by her special family, on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 of Edith Luelle Boyle, Summerside, formerly of Conway and Maine, aged 91. Born in Conway on Nov. 25, 1919, daughter of the late John and Annie (Burns) Palmer. Survived by her special family Robert, Connie, Bobby Joe, Laura Lee Morrison (Joel Wood) and Allie Morrison Booth. She is also survived by her step children Irma (George) Williams, Bideford; Louis (Joyce) Boyle, Oldtown, Maine; Linda (Adrien) Senecal, Dover, New Hampshire; Paula (Gary) Thomas, Holden, Maine and step daughter in law Faye Boyle, Oldtown, Maine; brothers Charles (Erma) Palmer, Summerside; Cecil (Elizabeth) Palmer, Borden and sister in law Edith Morrison, Summerside. Edith is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The death occurred at his late residence on Saturday, October 8, 2011 of Robert W. Bulman of York Point, age 56 years.
Father of Yolanda and Sean Bulman. Grandfather of Benjamin Oliver Bulman. Remembered by his children's mother Donna Bulman. Brother of Garth (Fran) Bulman and Marlene (Barry) Bainard. Predeceased by his parents Elaine (Sigurd McKinnon) and Danial R. Bulman.

CHAMPION-MACLEOD, Helen Freda

Peacefully, with her daughter Bonnie at her side, at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge, Clinton on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 of Helen Freda Champion- MacLeod formerly of Kensington, aged 88 years. Born in Brookfield on Nov. 20, 1922 daughter, of the late Ernest and Katherine (Buchanan) Younker. Wife of the late Wallace Champion and the late Aubrey MacLeod. Mother of Cynthia Champion, Aylesford, Nova Scotia; Bonnie Colwill, Summerside and Kirk (Joan) Champion, Darnley. Grandmother to Bevin (Mary) Champion, Saint John, New Brunswick; Amos Champion, Darnley; Katie Champion, Darnley and Rhonda Gill, Summerside. Loving Aunt of Linda Allen, Charlottetown. She will be sadly missed by her special caregiver “My Gilda”, Gilda Stephens. Predeceased by son Bevin Champion and brother and sister-in-law Claude and Evelyn Younker. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral Thursday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m.

COLE, Sandra Joan (nee Heatherington)

The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 of Sandra Cole (nee Heatherington) of Mayfield, age 65.
Sandra was the beloved wife of Sterling and dear mother of Brian Cole, Karen Duffy (Craig) and Tammy Cole.

DEACON, Channing Walter

Channing Walter Deacon, 85, of East Weymouth died in Abington on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, where he had been lovingly cared for since March 2010 by the staff at Colony House.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1926, in Milton, MA. He graduated from Quincy High School in the class of 1944 and was immediately drafted into the Army. He served in the Pacific and was part of the occupation forces in Japan after the war ended.

GALLANT, Ronalda Marie

Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Friday Oct. 7, 2011, of Mrs. Ronalda Marie Gallant (nee O’Hanley) of Charlottetown, aged 64 years.
Beloved wife of the late Deryl Gallant. Cherished mother of Tracey Gallant, Nancy (Kenny) Vail, Amanda (Darren) Hughes, Deryl (Elizabeth) Gallant. Loving gramma of Sam, Anna, Luke, Reuben and Benjamin Vail; Isaac, Charlotte Hughes; Jacob, Sophie and Oliver Gallant. Much adored sister of Dianne, Carol, Lynn, Michelle and Gerry. Ronalda will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Reuben and Frances (nee Paquet) O’Hanley and infant brother and sister Cathy and Monty.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral home until 9:45 on Wednesday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.

GALLANT, Margaret Agnes (nee MacKinnon)

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, of Margaret Gallant (nee MacKinnon) of Cable Head, age 61 years.
Beloved wife of Charlie and loving mother of Jason Fisher of New Brunswick, grandmother of Parys, Erika, Isabella and William. Survived by sisters Doris MacKinnon of St. Peters Bay, Sara Deveau (Dave) of Rollo Bay, Graci Thompson (Greg) of Stillwater, Minn., and brother Charlie MacKinnon (Debbie) of St. Peters Bay, sister-in-law Judy Crossman (Ned), brothers-in-law Henry (Kathy) and Steve (Cindy). Sadly missed by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by parents Kenny Charlie and Helen MacKinnon and first husband William Fisher.

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday Oct. 8, 2011, of Shirley A. Gauthier of Charlottetown age 71 years.
Dear mother of Debbie (Jack) Long, Ronnie (Parwati) Gauthier, and Tracy (Ray) Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Chantal Laybolt (Lance Matheson), Katie Laybolt, Robyn Smith, Becca Smith, great-grandsons Lucas Matheson, Xander Rose, Wesley Rose, her brothers and sisters Charlie (Sandra) Gauthier, Carol (Ricky) Ross, Wilfred (Cathy) Gauthier, Peggy Arthur, Sandra (Joe) Knockwood, and Darlene (Jimmy) Eldershaw.
She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Margaret Gauthier, her daughters Brenda and Shelly, her brothers Dick and Leo, her sister Marge and brother-in-law Buddy Arthur.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 12:45 on Wednesday afternoon, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 1 p.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.

Dr. Grant was born on March 2, 1927 in Montague, P.E.I. Beloved husband of Grace Joan Agnes (nee MacDonald). Dear father of Dan (Marian), Andrea, James. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kara (James), Alastair, Patrick, Krista, Liam. He is survived by his sister Jean Andres (Bob), and sister-in-law Hyla Grant of Saint John. He was predeceased by his parents Sen. Dr. Thomas Vincent Grant of Peakes and Mary Jane Donovan of Morell Rear, by brothers Dr. Roy Grant, Dr. Earl Grant of Saint John, Dr. Byron Grant, Dr. Norbert Grant of Saint John, Dr. Vincent Grant of Ottawa and five sisters: Eileen (Sr. Vincent de Paul), Cora Gillis, Anna Grant, Beatrice Maguire, Mary Haggerty and Helen Killorn.

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on Saturday, October 8, 2011, of James “Charles” MacDonald of Orwell, age 81 years.
Dear father of Jeannie Campbell, Jim (Judy), Michael (Jeanie), Dougie (Cindy) and Alan (Janice). Beloved grandfather of Rob, Shawn, Jamie, Johnathan, Candace, Meghan, Marc, Joshua, Kristopher, Jill, Kyle, Maddy and Chelsey and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Wilbur (Marie), Marcellus (Sheila, Ronalda (James) Whalen, Augusta (Don) Harriman, Ignatius (Ita) and Gloria (Cyril) Chapman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by wife of 50 years Joan (nee Murphy), parents Leo and Helen, brother Ronald and sister Gloria, sisters-in-law Lonna, Pauline.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
